A Child’s Request From Her Dad
"One shock he had before he believed was when his 11-year-old daughter (who had suddenly become the victim of painful arthritis which the doctors said couldn’t be cured) said, “Daddy, when parents brought their children to Jesus, He always healed them. Will you kneel down and ask Jesus to heal me?” The unbelieving father prayed to the Jesus he didn’t believe in and she was healed that day." (Norman Grubb)
Children are born open to love, faith and everything from those they depend on and therefore, are also vulnerable to the devastation they suffer when they lose that natural and complete parental support. Life for them becomes complicated and often turns to desperation. In the safety and security of a family, the world is full of wonders and childhood dreams. Unfortunately, this is no longer true to hundreds of thousands of children in Africa suffering from poverty or with no homes at all due to becoming orphaned.
Today, thousands of children around the world especially those orphaned and disadvantaged are begging you and me to bring them to Jesus to get healed from the pains of poverty, disease, loss of parents, homelessness, lack of education, and ignorance. These are chronic issues and diseases, a plight for so many poor and needy children in Africa from which they can not find escape without your love and concern.
